Academic Experience:
-
Prince William Sound College
At PWSC, 2021 to 2023 I was part of the Outdoor Leadership program and completed an Associates of Applied Sciences. Here in Valdez, Alaska, I trained in adventure guiding as well as continuing my environmental science studies with a hands on learning approach.
The Outdoor Leadership program focuses on training students to be adequate leaders in adventure activities; this program, as well as the environmental sciences courses, will help build my skills to work as an outdoor wilderness guide and help me gain a deeper knowledge of our ecosystems.

In 2020 I spoke before the Lincoln-Way School District at a board meeting about switching from Styrofoam to all compostable materials in our cafeterias. This went into place the following school year throughout the entire school district and led to my invitation to Page for Day by State Representative Margo McDermed.
Professional Digital Experience
Millenium Moments Studio:
From 2019-2020 I was an assistant photographer for Millennium Moments Studio and did wedding photography and videography. Michael and Nicole were awesome to work with and eading me into the photography industry trusting me behind their cameras.
Seed Media:
November of 2021 I started an internship with Seed Media, a creative agency that helps tells stories and build branding for businesses digitally. I ran the social media and helped take on photography tasks for projects. Prince William Sound College:
I started using a Fijifilm-xt4 in 2021 and have been learning new ways to use my camera creatively in the Alaskan environment. Taking photos for the PWSC media has been great in practicing the art of Adventure Photography as they use it throughout their Instagram, Facebook, and website.

Digital Education:
Lincoln Way Central:
At LWC I took a film photography course, design and illustration course, and a digital photography course.
The film course taught me the basics of photography and using different focal ratios, apertures, and shutter speeds. We developed our own photos in a dark room which really instilled fundamental photographic principles in composition.
The digital photography course helped me expand my skills from the film course. I got to work with softwares like Photoshop and Adobe and gained experience and skills in digital editing.
Lastly, my design and illustration class helped expose me to the components of digital media and build a strong foundation to comprehend artistic elements.
Throughout high school I had several artistic pieces make it into our art shows and magazine including photography, writing, ceramics, and drawings.

Volunteering
A lot of my community service comes from my church; I helped lead junior high youth ministry for four years and led my own mentorship for a year. I also was involved in multiple service projects and went to New Orleans for a mission trip.
Other experiences come from being a Girl Scout for 13 years which I continue to be involved in through my lifetime membership.
